About Shotokan
Shotokan Karate-do(SHOW-TOE-KHAN) is a form of Japanese Karate (Empty hand) developed by Gichin Funakoshi. He learned his karate from different teachers in Okinawa earning recognition as a great martial artist. He was invited to teach his karate in Tokyo, Japan and is known as the Father of Karate.
